A pineapple. Ripe fruit will always be firm, without dents, cracks or wrinkles. It should be slightly damp at the base. When pressed, the ripe pineapple should spring a little and bend, but remain firm. Ripe pineapple has a sweetish, pronounced aroma. Thick and green foliage speaks of the freshness of the fruit. If the top leaf is easily separated from the fruit, then the pineapple is ripe.

The greater the weight of the coconut, the tastier and more ripe the fruit will be. The greener the coconut, the more milk it contains. If, when shaking the coconut, no splashes of coconut juice are heard, then the fruit is overripe and its pulp has become tough. The pulp of a ripe coconut is easily separated from the shell and has a delicate texture. If the pulp is holding on to the layer under the shell, then this indicates that the nut was removed green.

Avocado. Ripe avocado is clean in appearance, slightly shiny, intact and firm. The skin of the fruit should be smooth, uniform, without visible flaws or damage. The top of the fruit should be firm, but no more than one centimeter in thickness. A pronounced citrus aroma should emanate from the pomelo.

Kiwi. The fruits of a ripe kiwi should be firm, not shriveled, slightly soft to the touch. Hair should be tough. Too soft, softened fruits are overripe or damaged. Ripe kiwi produces aromas of lemon, strawberry and banana. If the kiwi is firm, then it is not yet ripe.
