This simple but delicious coffee cake is prepared from the most common products in just half an hour. You don't need baking, you just need to chill it in the refrigerator. The consistency of the cake resembles a "potato" cake, but at the same time it is complemented by a wonderful coffee aroma and delicate cream. This is exactly what you need for your morning cup of hot coffee!

It is necessary

  • - ground crackers - 3-4 glasses;
  • - butter - 100 g;
  • - sugar - 1 glass;
  • - eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • - milk - 2 glasses;
  • - instant coffee - 1-2 teaspoons;
  • - vanilla sugar - 1 teaspoon;
  • - crushed nuts for dusting.

Step 1

For the cake, dried white bread, ground into small crumbs, is suitable. You can also use ground biscuits or vanilla crackers. We put them in a deep bowl.

Step 2

Bring one and a half glasses of milk to a boil. Add instant coffee. If there is no soluble, you can add a double portion of the ground during the heating process, but then the milk will have to be filtered. Pour the milk into a saucepan with breadcrumbs, mix and leave the breadcrumbs to swell.

Step 3

Break the eggs into a bowl, add granulated sugar and grind without beating until the mass turns white. Pour in half a glass of cold milk. While stirring, cook over medium heat until boiling. Beat the butter, adding vanilla sugar in the process. Combine with milk and egg mass, mix until smooth. It turns out to be a rather thick cream.

Step 4

Divide the cream into two equal parts. Add one part to the swollen breadcrumbs and stir into a homogeneous "dough". We put it on a round plate. Carefully align the top and edges of the crust. Put the second part of the cream on top, smooth it out. The sides can also be coated with cream. Then sprinkle the cake with crushed nuts.

After that, we put our coffee cake in the refrigerator for one to two hours - until the cream hardens.
