The pastries, which are very popular in France, have firmly won our hearts. Croissants are prepared both without fillings and with various fillings. The yeast dough used in croissants makes the product more fluffy.

It is necessary

    • 1.5 cups milk
    • 10 gr. dry yeast
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 1 egg
    • 3.5 cups wheat flour
    • 200 gr. oils
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

Step 1

Stir sugar in a glass of warm (30 degrees) milk, then dissolve the yeast. Yeast begins to "walk" and foam appears on the surface.

Step 2

Beat the yolks lightly.

Step 3

Sift the flour and add the yolks, yeast, the rest of the milk, salt to it and knead the dough.

Step 4

We form the finished dough into a ball and cut it crosswise from above.

Step 5

After covering the dough, put it in the refrigerator for 12 hours.

Step 6

Roll out the risen dough, expanding it at the place of the incision. The layer should be square, no more than 2 cm thick.

Step 7

Roll the butter with a rolling pin through cling film to a thickness of 1 cm.

Step 8

Put the butter on the dough and wrap the butter in the dough like an envelope.

Step 9

Gently roll out the dough, turning, but not overturning the layer itself.

Step 10

Fold the dough in three layers (you get a rectangle) and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 11

We take out the chilled dough and roll it into a square without turning it over.

Step 12

Fold the dough into a rectangle again and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

We repeat this procedure one more time.

Step 13

After the third "freezing", roll out the dough into a rectangle no more than 0.5 cm thick.

Step 14

With a sharp knife, we break the layer into triangles about 15x15x10 cm in size.

Step 15

The base of each triangle (10 cm) is slightly incised.

Step 16

We begin to roll up the triangles from the base with a tube.

Step 17

Put the croissants on a baking sheet, cover with a towel and put in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 18

Beat the egg and grease the risen croissants.

Step 19

We bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.

Step 20

Serve jam, confiture or condensed milk with croissants. Enjoy your tea.
