Red caviar is one of the most coveted delicacies, without which no meal is complete. It is impossible to imagine a New Year's table without delicious sandwiches with butter and caviar. It is hard to believe that several centuries ago this product was considered absolutely ordinary and everyday, it was literally eaten with spoons.

Instructions

Step 1

Today, red caviar is bought only on the eve of holidays and feasts. The reason for this is the high cost of the product. Tiny jars of caviar can cost a fortune, and the quality of the product is questionable. In our stores, you often find spoiled, artificial or tinted caviar, as well as caviar stuffed with preservatives prohibited in the Russian Federation. But choosing a delicacy in the store is still half the battle. Having bought red caviar in advance, on sale, we are often tormented by the question - how to keep it safe and sound before the feast?

Step 2

If you have purchased several jars of caviar, they can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time when closed. Thanks to preservatives and special additives, caviar will patiently wait for serving for at least two months. An open can will stay in the refrigerator for no more than a couple of days (maximum 5 days). So that it does not dry out and does not lose its taste, the caviar can be poured with sunflower oil on top. It will create a film on the surface of the caviar that will prevent air from entering.

Step 3

The most controversial point in the storage of caviar is freezing. Some people argue that it is impossible to store red caviar in the freezer, while others have repeatedly practiced this method of storage. In fact, when stored at low temperatures, this delicacy loses some of its flavor properties, the eggs burst and stick together. From crumbly caviar, your delicacy threatens to turn into a homogeneous mass.
