Step 1

Rinse and peel all vegetables well. Drain the liquid from the beans. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut carrots and celery into thin slices. Tear the celery leaves into pieces.

Step 2

Heat the butter in a deep frying pan and fry the onions and carrots for a couple of minutes. Add garlic and celery and fry for another minute. Add the beans to the skillet.

Step 3

Dissolve tomato paste, caraway seeds, and pepper and salt in a vegetable broth. Pour into a frying pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and season with lemon juice.
