Since it is this period that the first mention of the biscuit dates back to: the navigators took it when they went on a journey. Because the biscuit recipe does not contain butter and, as a result, the dough does not grow moldy for a long time, even in sea conditions. Nowadays, various versions of this delicacy have been invented.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - 4 chicken eggs
  • - 200 g sugar
  • - 70 g butter
  • - 70 g dark chocolate
  • - 60 ml of milk
  • - 60 ml boiling water
  • - 1 tsp vanillin
  • - 200 g flour
  • - 40 g cocoa
  • - 2 tsp baking powder
  • - a pinch of salt
  • - a pinch of baking soda
  • For filling:
  • - 500 g bananas
  • - 300 g milk chocolate
  • - 500 ml whipping cream
  • - 2 tbsp. l. rum

Instructions

Step 1

The yolks must be separated from the proteins. Beat the yolks with sugar until fluffy.

Step 2

Add boiling water, vanillin, milk, melted butter and melted dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.

Step 3

Pour flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt into the resulting mass.

Step 4

In a separate container, beat the whites with a pinch of salt until airy and carefully add them to the dough, mix everything until smooth.

Step 5

Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle with a little flour. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Step 6

Pour the dough into a mold and bake for about 40 minutes. As soon as the cake has cooled, you need to divide it into 3 layers.

Step 7

For the filling, turn the bananas into mashed potatoes and mix with melted chocolate. Whip the cream and add to the banana mixture.

Step 8

Apply the filling between the cakes and all over the outside of the biscuit. Can be sprinkled with nuts or grated chocolate.
