Potatoes with a delicate creamy sauce are a great dish for lunch or dinner. It is also suitable for a festive table, if you supplement it with fresh herbs and serve with fresh vegetables.
It is necessary
- - 400-500 g of medium-sized potatoes;
- - a tablespoon of butter;
- - a tablespoon of flour;
- - half a teaspoon of mustard seeds;
- - a teaspoon of Dijon mustard;
- - 200 ml of cream;
- - 50 ml of white wine;
- - 100 ml of milk;
- - salt and black pepper to taste;
- - a few feathers of green onions.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Let it cool slightly, cut into pieces for one bite, set aside.
Step 2
Lightly fry the mustard seeds in a heavy-bottomed skillet or saucepan to release their aroma. Add butter and melt over medium heat. Pour in flour and mix quickly so that no lumps form. Pour in a little cream and white wine. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Pour in milk.
Step 3
Add mustard, salt and pepper to taste, mix the sauce thoroughly. Chop the onion and add it to the sauce along with the potatoes, leave on low heat for a few minutes so that the potatoes absorb all the aromas. Serve immediately.
