It is necessary

  • - 3-4 very large potatoes
  • - 100-150 grams of butter
  • - 1-2 cloves of garlic (to your liking)
  • - a bunch of dill
  • - 150 grams of hard cheese
  • - salt / black pepper

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, we peel all the potatoes, divide each into two halves lengthwise and set to cook until fully cooked. The potatoes should be soft, but not boiled.

Step 2

It is recommended to pre-hold the butter at room temperature so that it becomes soft and amenable to kneading with a fork. Finely chop the dill, grate the garlic and mix everything with soft butter. We also add salt to this mixture.

Step 3

When the potatoes are cooked until fully cooked, we cool them. Next, we take a fork or knife and with a tip gently "dig" a hole in the middle of each potato half, but without piercing the bottom through and through. The soft potatoes that we get from these actions are left in the same place in the "boat".

Step 4

Add butter with dill and garlic to each resulting potato boat, gently spread over the entire surface. Since we have recesses in each half, the oil will not flow outside the potatoes when melting. We pepper everything to our liking.

Step 5

Sprinkle each oiled boat with grated cheese and place on a baking sheet. We send the baking sheet to the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes to melt the cheese.

Step 6

On the table, creamy potatoes with cheese are served as a side dish for meat or fish. Or as an independent dish for vegetable salads and cuts.
