Chicken in cheese-creamy sauce is a rather easy-to-prepare dish that does not require special financial costs and time. Even the most inexperienced chef can cook it. In addition, it is very tasty and healthy.

It is necessary

    • cream 500 ml;
    • 100 g of cheese;
    • vegetable oil 50 g;
    • 1 onion;
    • garlic;
    • spices to taste;
    • greens.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash a medium-sized chicken (up to 1.5 kg) under running water. Remove excess skin. Dry it off with a towel or napkin. Then cut into small pieces.

Step 2

Season each piece well with salt and pepper. You can coat them with a little soy sauce (or others, if desired). Refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Pour some vegetable oil into a deep frying pan. Chop one onion finely and fry until translucent (about 10 minutes).

Step 4

Remove the marinated chicken pieces from the refrigerator and add to the skillet with onions. Simmer over medium heat (5-7 minutes), stirring constantly.

Then take 500 ml. cream (preferably 35% fat, but 10% will do) and pour into the pan. Season with salt, pepper and spices to taste: curry, tarragon, cumin, or whatever you like.

Step 6

Grind 100 g of cheese on a coarse grater and pour into the pan. For this dish, it is better to buy hard cheeses (for example, parmesan or cheddar). If you decide to use soft cream cheese, then it is better to freeze it first, so that later it will be easier to grate.

Step 7

Peel and wash a few cloves of garlic. Chop them finely or pass them through a garlic press. Add it to the skillet. For more flavor, you can season the dish with fresh herbs: dill, parsley.

Step 8

Then cover the pan with a lid and simmer the chicken in a creamy cheese sauce over low heat until cooked through (about 30 minutes).
