What can you bake for tea?

At first glance, it seems that anything will suit tea as goodies. In fact, certain sweets are combined with each type of tea. So, red tea (hibiscus), since it is sour, is best supplemented with baked goods from oriental cuisine: using raisins, honey, figs and nuts.

Green tea is pleasant with shortbread cookies, and also goes well with sweets where dairy products were used: curd fillings or sour cream - they will help soften the possible bitterness with strong brewing.

Sufficiently sweet desserts are suitable for black tea, but those that will not interrupt the tea aroma and taste itself: biscuit rolls, pies and buns. Various traditional spices can be used (eg cinnamon).

The easiest

The most versatile are sweets that can be prepared quickly and served with any type of tea. These include oatmeal cookies, the recipe for which is incredibly simple.

For cooking you will need:

-1/2 cup wheat flour;

-1/2 cup oatmeal, ground into flour;

-1/2 cup sugar;

-2 eggs;

-50 g butter;

-a spoonful of honey;

-baking powder;

-vanilla.

Beaten eggs must be mixed with sugar, vanilla and honey, then add all the flour, butter to them and add baking powder. The semi-liquid dough is poured onto a hot baking sheet in the form of pancakes and baked for about 15 minutes. You can add dried fruits or nuts.

It will not be difficult to prepare a biscuit roll. For him you will need:

-1/2 cup flour:

-5 eggs;

-1/2 cup potato starch;

-a glass of sugar;

-povidlo and / or fresh fruit slices.

First, you need to beat the yolks separately from the whites and sugar. Then mix gently, add flour, add starch. Pour the resulting batter onto a sufficiently deep baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 220 ° C. It is the hot dough that grease with jam or put fresh fruit on it (must be juicy), you can use both. Roll up into a roll with a potholder and a towel. And leave to soak and cool.

A variant of this dish are small rolls of ready-made (purchased) puff pastry and apples with cinnamon. The layer of dough is thinly rolled out, slices of apples (or apple jam) are spread on it, sprinkled with sugar (if jam is used, then it is not necessary), cinnamon is added and rolled into a roll. Then it is cut into pieces and baked on a baking sheet covered with paper until golden brown.

There are many suitable recipes for what you can prepare for tea. Sometimes you just need to show imagination in the kitchen and not be afraid of taste experiments.
