For two medium-sized fish, take:

Fried mackerel
For two medium fish you will need:
- tomato paste 2 tbsp. l.;
- clean water - 10 tbsp. l.;
- vegetable oil - 10 tbsp. l.;
- spices to taste.
Gut the carcasses of the fish, remove the heads and bones. Cut the mackerel into pieces, sprinkle with spices. For the fish to be saturated with pepper and salt, you need to give it 1 hour. Make a tomato paste sauce. To do this, add water, oil to it and mix. Dip the fish fillet in the resulting sauce. Preheat a saucepan, add oil. When it's hot, fry the fish on both sides. When serving fried mackerel, sprinkle with herbs.
Pickled mackerel
For 3 medium-sized fish you need:
- a liter of clean water;
- bay leaves - 3 pcs.;
- salt - 2 tbsp. l.;
- sugar - 1 tbsp. l.;
- a pinch of cloves, coriander, mustard seeds, caraway seeds, black pepper.
Pour water into a container and boil. Without removing from heat, add spices and seasonings. Let the water boil for about 5 minutes and set aside to cool. Peel the mackerel, remove the tail, head, and wash the carcass. Put the prepared fish in a container, fill it with marinade, cover with oppression. She must stay there for 12 hours. After this time, the pickled mackerel will be ready. It can now be sliced, poured over with oil, and served.
