It is not for nothing that bread is considered the main product on the table - not a single Russian feast can do without it. Ruddy, crispy and aromatic, very tasty and healthy. And in order for the bread to retain its original softness and taste as long as possible, it should be properly stored.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the bread in a special container. It is best to put it in a bread bin that is made from natural materials such as wood. The container must be tightly closed, have small ventilation holes and be clean, without traces of mold or old crumbs. If the previous bun in it has deteriorated, thoroughly wash the bread basket with soapy water and dry well before putting fresh bread in it.
Step 2
Store wheat and rye bread separately. Otherwise, the potato sticks may spread and the food will be spoiled. In addition, white bread absorbs the smell of black bread and loses its natural taste. If you constantly eat two types of bread in your house, get yourself a special bread bin with several sections isolated from each other. In the absence of a breadbasket, wrap the rolls in separate paper bags, but by no means in plastic bags - mold develops in them faster.
Step 3
Cut your bread correctly. Divide the loaf in the middle, then cut the required number of pieces from the formed edge. Press the remaining parts together again and put them in a bread basket or wrap them in paper. You need to cut the bread on a separate wooden or glass board.
Step 4
Freeze excess pieces. If you find that you will not have time to eat all the bread before it dries, cut it into small portions and put it in the freezer. Next time, just take them out, defrost and reheat in the microwave or oven.
Step 5
Save dry bread. Make small croutons out of it that make a great addition to tea or broth. To do this, cut it, put it on a baking sheet and put it in the oven. When the crackers are browned, they are ready.
