Fried sugar is a delicacy from childhood. Easy to prepare, caramels are not only tasty, but also healthy. Burnt lozenges help with dry coughs and bronchitis. And if you fantasize a little and add milk and ground nuts to fried sugar, then you may well get sherbet.
It is necessary
-
- granulated sugar (preferably fine)
- water
- some vegetable oil
- lemon slice
- milk
- nuts.
Instructions
Step 1
To make fried sugar, you need roughly equal proportions of water and sugar. Put sugar in a saucepan or frying pan, add a little water and put on high heat. In this case, it is important to continuously stir the syrup and not to miss the moment of burning the sugar. When the water has boiled off a little and the syrup has acquired the color you want, you can remove it from heat. To shape the candy, the syrup can be poured into molds greased with vegetable oil or on baking paper. If there is neither one nor the other, a regular spoon is fine. Once you have poured the fried sugar into the molds, you need to put it under cold water.
Step 2
Method two. Pour 100 g of sugar into a small saucepan, add a couple of drops of lemon and a little water and butter or sunflower oil. When heating the mass over a fire, do not forget to stir constantly. As soon as the caramel has boiled off, dip a stick (preferably a simple wooden one) into it and wind the mass. Then put it in cold water.
Step 3
Method three. If you want sweeter and tastier, add milk to sugar instead of water. It is advisable to make the fire small, stir occasionally and let the milk boil (without forgetting to stir). Then the sugar will become friable and, when it cools completely, it can be broken into pieces. And if you add a little nuts, you get a kind of sherbet.
