Fish is considered a very healthy and nutritious food. There are a lot of recipes for its preparation, however, as well as varieties. Fried pike is delicious and tender, let's cook!
Cooking fish deliciously is not such a difficult task as it seems at first glance. A little patience and you have a real masterpiece on your table - fried pike with walnuts. Surprise your friends with a delicious and healthy fish dish.
To prepare this dish you will need:
- pike - 1 pc. medium size
- lard or bacon - 100 gr.
- onions - 2 small heads
- walnuts - 100 gr.
- lemon - 1 pc.
- flour - 2-3 tbsp. l.
- butter - 50 gr.
- dry white wine - 200 ml.
- Bay leaf
- salt
Preparation
Wash the pike, peel, cut off the head and tail (you can use them to make fish broth). Cut the bacon into small pieces, peel and chop the nuts, cut ½ lemon into wedges. Put bacon, nuts, lemon wedges in the belly of the pike and salt. Pour the flour into a plate and roll the fish in it. Melt the butter in a skillet and fry the pike on both sides until a crust appears. Cut the onion into rings and place on top of the fried fish together with the bay leaves. Squeeze the juice from the remaining half of the lemon and pour over the pike. Also pour a glass of wine into the pan, close the lid and simmer for 3-5 minutes over low heat.
The finished dish is served whole or in portions, decorated with herbs.
