The classic date jam recipe

To prepare this dish you will need:

- 1 kg of fresh dates;

- 5 glasses of water;

- 800 g of granulated sugar.

Pour water into a saucepan and put it on low heat, add granulated sugar, stir and cook until it is completely dissolved. In the meantime, sort out the dates, throwing away the damaged and rotten fruits, wash them thoroughly. Then remove the seeds from them, and coarsely chop the pulp. Add it to boiling sugar syrup, mix everything and cook for 45-60 minutes, stirring constantly.

After this time, pour the hot date jam into previously sterilized jars and roll up. Turn the jars over and wrap them in a warm blanket, leaving them for a couple of days. Then put them in a basement or dark closet. You can also seal the jars with ordinary lids, and when the jam has cooled, put it in the refrigerator for storage - in this case, it is advisable to eat it within 6 months.

Jam from dates, pears and apples

Ingredients:

- 2 kg of dates;

- 1 kg of pears;

- 1 kg of Antonovka apples;

- 700 ml of water;

- 4 kg of granulated sugar.

Wash the fruit well, remove the core and stalk from the apples and pears, and remove the seeds from the dates. Cut apples and pears into thin slices and put in a basin, add dates, cover with sugar and fill with water. Mix everything well and put on low heat. After the jam boils, boil it, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Then remove from heat, cover the basin with gauze and put it in a dark place. The next day, bring it to a boil again, boil for 10 minutes and pour into sterilized jars. Roll up, wait until it cools down, and then put it in the refrigerator or dark cabinet.

Healthy Date Jam

Date jam can also be prepared without boiling - in this case, the product will retain all the beneficial substances that make up these fruits. To make such a jam you will need:

- 1 kg of fresh dates;

- 700 g of granulated sugar.

Sort the dates, wash and remove the seeds from them. Then pass the fruits through a meat grinder and mix with granulated sugar. Leave in a dark place for 3 hours, stir again, leave again for the same time, and then stir again well. Divide the healthy jams into clean jars, cover them with plastic lids and put them in the refrigerator. Store no more than six months, using with tea or coffee.
