Everyone cooks hedgehogs from rice and minced meat in different ways, someone stews them in a pan, and someone bakes them in the oven. But with any cooking option, this is a completely tasty dish that all family members will eat with gusto.
It is necessary
- - 400 g of homemade minced meat;
- - 1 cup white long grain rice;
- - 400 g sour cream (25% fat);
- - 1 onion;
- - 1 carrot;
- - 1 liter of hot water;
- - salt to taste;
- - 2 tablespoons of universal seasoning;
- - dried herbs.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil 1 cup of rice in salted water until half cooked, drain the water and leave the rice under a closed lid.
Step 2
Chop the onions finely; grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
Step 3
In a bowl, stir together the raw minced meat, cooked rice, carrots and onions. Add dried herbs and salt. Roll balls (hedgehogs) with a diameter of 7-9 cm from the resulting mass and put them in one row in a deep saucepan.
Step 4
To prepare the sauce, put the sour cream in a deep bowl, mix it with the universal seasoning and dilute with hot water. Pour the prepared sauce into a saucepan with hedgehogs so that the gravy completely covers them.
Step 5
Simmer hedgehogs over low heat, under a closed lid, for about 1 hour.
