If you love seafood and squid in particular, or you are just starting your acquaintance with them and do not know how to cook them, you can simply fry them with onions. The main advantage of this dish is that it cooks very quickly. Squid are a delicacy in themselves and have an exquisite taste. They are sold in any large store in the frozen food section.
It is necessary
- - squids - 500 g;
- - medium-sized onions - 3 pcs.;
- - butter - 70 g;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt;
- - dill - a few branches (optional);
- - frying pan.
Instructions
Step 1
Thaw frozen squids at room temperature or transfer them from the freezer to the refrigerator overnight. Once they are thawed, rinse them and place them in a saucepan of cold, salted water.
Step 2
When the water boils, reduce the temperature and cook the squid for 7 minutes. After that, drain the water, and cool the squids, dry them and cut into rings 5 mm wide.
Step 3
Peel the onions and cut into half rings. When all the ingredients are ready, take the pan and heat it up. Add butter and melt, not boiling.
Step 4
Add the chopped onion to the pan and stir-fry until golden brown. Then add the squid, mix them with the onions. Then reduce the temperature to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. At the very end, add black pepper and salt to taste.
Step 5
Fried calamari with onions are ready! They can be served immediately with a side dish of potatoes, sprinkled with fresh chopped dill if desired.
