It is necessary

  • - potatoes - 1 kg;
  • - butter - 50-70 g;
  • - flour - 1 tbsp. l. with a slide;
  • - chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • - salt - 1 tsp;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - bread crumbs - optional;
  • - sunflower oil for frying;
  • - frying pan.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel and rinse the potatoes to remove any contamination. Then cut it into 4-6 pieces and place in a saucepan. Pour in enough water to cover the potatoes by a couple of centimeters. As soon as the water boils, add salt, reduce the temperature, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes. The potatoes should be very soft.

Step 2

Then drain all the water immediately. While the potatoes are hot, add the butter. Use a pusher or flat rolling pin to mash the potatoes so that there are no lumps left. Add black pepper and salt if necessary.

Step 3

After that, break the chicken eggs and add flour. Mix everything together until smooth.

Step 4

Now take a frying pan and pour sunflower oil (about 30 ml) into it. While it is heating, form the resulting potato mass into flat round or oval cutlets. To get a crispy crust, if you wish, you can roll them on all sides in bread crumbs.

Step 5

Place patties in skillet and sauté until golden brown at moderate heat. After that, turn them over to the other side and fry until tender.

Step 6

Put the finished products on a large plate and serve along with fresh chopped herbs, sprinkled with sour cream or mushroom sauce. And also as a side dish for meat or fish.
