Cantucci. In my opinion, this is a very unusual name, and one does not even immediately understand what it is about. And we are talking about traditional Italian cookies with almonds. And that is what we will cook.
It is necessary
- - flour - 250 g;
- - sugar - 150 g;
- - eggs - 2 pcs;
- - almonds - 100 g;
- - butter - 30 g;
- - vanilla sugar - 5 g;
- - honey - half a tablespoon;
- - baking powder - 1 teaspoon.
Instructions
Step 1
First, we need to mix the following ingredients: flour, sugar and vanilla sugar. Then add baking powder there. If you do not have it, then you can replace it with soda, slaked with vinegar.

We take eggs. Beat them thoroughly.
Step 3
Now we need to add beaten eggs and pre-softened butter to our dry mixture. All this now needs to be kneaded into a soft dough, then add honey there, and knead again.

It's time for almonds. It needs to be dried. And we will do it with the help of a preheated frying pan. We put it and dry it over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Then we cool the whole thing and add the almonds to our dough.
Step 5
Now we divide the resulting dough into 2 parts and form 2 "loaves" from them. Their diameter should be about 3 centimeters. Then we put them on a baking sheet covered with food foil. They should be baked for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees. By the way, before you start baking these "loaves", do not forget to preheat the oven first.
Step 6
So, our "bars" are ready. Now they need to be cut, but only correctly. That is, 1 centimeter thick and always at an angle. After the performed operation, let them cool down.
Step 7
After our cookies have cooled, we put them in the oven again for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 150 degrees, but only so that they dry out. It’s very easy to know that it’s ready. Cantucci will be light and hard, in general, like a crouton.
