If you run out of yeast at home, then this is not a reason to give up baking. The American recipe for fresh farm buns allows you to create even with the minimum amount of ingredients. No need to run to the store, whatever you have in your fridge is enough.

  • 1. Flour - 250 g.
  • 2. Butter - 50 g.
  • 3. Milk - 0.5 cups.
  • 4. Baking dough - 2 tsp.
  • 5. Salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a bowl with high walls, sift flour into it, then mix it with baking powder and salt (a pinch for the dough will be enough).

Step 2

Cut the butter into very small pieces with a knife. We completely melt it in preheated (warm, not hot!) Milk. Pour the resulting mixture into a bowl of flour and mix well with a fork.

Step 3

With our hands, quickly knead the smooth dough (the latter must be dense enough for this, otherwise it is recommended to add a little flour again) and form a ball out of it.

Step 4

Place the dough on a pre-oiled and floured baking sheet. Already on it, we form a square layer of dough with our palms and with a special spatula (but you can use the blunt side of the knife blade) we divide it into 12 equal parts.

Step 5

Sprinkle the dough with flour and send it to the oven preheated to 220 ° C for 15 minutes. For those who prefer brighter spicy flavors, you can add a little dried herbs and finely chopped garlic to the dough. You can also use Parmesan cheese either as a filling (grated + herbs to taste), or as a powder (2-3 tablespoons of grated cheese per the number of servings above).
