Sterilize jars and lids. Since the ingredients are few, three small jars are enough.

Sort out the cherries, tear off the tails, rinse well in water.

Drain the water from the berries. No need to drain all the water, leave some for the juice. Pour sugar into the berries (adjust the amount of sugar to taste), mix well. If you use very juicy berries, then stir gently so as not to harm the fruit.

Leave the cherries at room temperature for half an hour. During this time, the cherry will give juice. If desired, you can add a little raspberry to the cherries. If there is not enough juice, then wait another ten minutes.

Transfer the cherries with juice to a saucepan or stewpan (depending on what is more convenient to cook), bring to a boil. The jam will produce a lot of foam, so scoop it off with a spoon. Cherry froth can be served with pancakes or used in various desserts for children.
Step 6
Boil the jam for ten minutes, then remove it from the heat and cool. Then put the jam on the fire and boil for another ten minutes, cool, boil a third time. Arrange the hot jam in prepared jars, tighten the lids. After the jam has cooled, store it in the pantry.
