  • - milk - 500g
  • - semolina - 5 tbsp. spoons
  • - egg - 1 pc.
  • - salt
  • For filling:
  • - egg yolk - 4 pcs.
  • - butter - 50g
  • - egg white - 4 pcs.
  • - walnut kernels - 100g
  • For gravy:
  • - granulated sugar - 100g
  • - water - 50g
  • - lemon juice - 2 tsp

Instructions

Step 1

Cook thick semolina porridge in milk. After the porridge is ready, remove from heat, add the egg, stir and cool.

Step 2

Stir the egg yolks with butter, add to the semolina. Pour crushed walnuts into the total mass and mix everything until smooth.

Step 3

Beat the whites separately until thick foam. Add to manna dough.

Step 4

Place the resulting dough in a greased baking dish. Spread walnut quarters on top of the pie at the same distance from each other. Place the dish in an oven preheated to medium temperature. Bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown.

Step 5

The gravy must be pre-prepared as follows:

Dissolve granulated sugar with water and boil for about 15 minutes, then remove from heat, add lemon juice and stir well. Refrigerate. Cut the mannik into pieces right in the mold. Serve portioned wedges with gravy with tea.
