Probably, the American chef of Italian origin Caesar Cardini could not even imagine that his salad would become famous all over the world. At the moment, there are many recipes for Caesar salad with various ingredients, including shrimp, avocado, mushrooms and much more. Let's prepare Caesar salad with croutons and chicken.
The good thing about Caesar salad is that housewives can create their own version of this dish, adding any ingredients besides the classic ones, for example, crab meat, tomatoes, cucumbers, shrimps, bacon, sheep cheese, mushrooms, raisins, cucumbers and so on. As a dressing, you can use both mayonnaise and cream, mustard, sour cream and soy sauce.
To prepare Caesar salad with croutons and chicken, you will need:
- loaf - 100 g;
- hard cheese - 100 g;
- boiled chicken meat - 100 g;
- Peking cabbage - 200 g;
- mayonnaise - 150 ml;
- vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
- salt, pepper, spices - to taste and desire.
Croutons are best made from yesterday's white bread, which must be cut into cubes and then fried in a small amount of vegetable oil in a pan until golden brown. Then put the croutons on a towel or paper napkins so that excess oil is glass from them.
Wash the Chinese cabbage and then cut into thin strips. Pre-cooked chicken meat must be disassembled into fine fibers. Hard cheese (you can use Dutch, Russian and any other) grate on a coarse grater.
Put all the above ingredients in a salad bowl, mix well, and then add mayonnaise, which can be replaced with cheese sauce if desired. Don't forget to add salt, pepper, and any other spices you like.
