Vanilla mousse is a delicious dessert. You can use this mousse as a stand-alone dessert or instead of a custard for any cake. There is only one rule - in this recipe you should not change butter for margarine.
It is necessary
- For five servings:
- - 2 glasses of milk;
- - 1/2 cup sugar;
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of starch;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter;
- - 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar or extract;
- - 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Instructions
Step 1
It takes only 20 minutes to prepare the ingredients, the same amount will take to prepare the vanilla mousse. The total time is 40 minutes, which is not much for such a delicious homemade treat.
Step 2
Take a medium-sized saucepan, pour in the milk, heat it over medium heat - bubbles should appear at the edges.
Step 3
Separately, in a deep bowl, combine the sugar, salt and 3 tablespoons of any starch. Add this dry mixture in small portions to hot milk, stirring constantly - the dry mixture should completely dissolve without forming lumps.
Step 4
Continue to cook the mixture until it begins to thicken, stirring constantly. It should begin to stick to the bottom of the spoon dipped into it, and not flow down it. Just don't boil this milk mixture!
Step 5
Remove the saucepan from heat, add vanilla sugar or extract, softened butter. Mix thoroughly until smooth. Pour the finished vanilla mousse into the bowls, refrigerate to cool the dessert. If you serve the mousse as a stand-alone dessert, you can sprinkle it with chocolate chips, coconut flakes, or garnish with pieces of fruit on top.
