Bananas are a great base for desserts. They can be used to make fruit salads, mousses, ice cream, pies and other goodies. By varying spices and additional ingredients, it is easy to achieve an unusual and very pleasant taste.
Banana mousse
Winter is not a reason to give up fruit desserts. In the absence of seasonal fruits, bananas will help out - delicious, sweet, nutritious, rich in vitamins and valuable minerals. Air mousses are loved by children and weight watchers. Serve a healthy tropical fruit dessert for your afternoon tea or to top off your meal.
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas;
- 2 egg whites;
- 3 tbsp. l. icing sugar;
- a pinch of turmeric;
- 1 tbsp. l. liquid honey;
- 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice;
- several slices of dark chocolate for decoration.
Beat the egg whites with a whisk or blender, adding a few drops of lemon juice. The mass should become lush and increase in volume several times. Peel bananas, cut into pieces, mix with lemon juice, honey and powdered sugar. Pass everything through the processor. Add egg whites in portions while continuing to beat.
Spread the finished mousse in the bowls and place in the refrigerator for half an hour. Sprinkle grated chocolate over each portion before serving. Banana mousse can be supplemented with biscuits, dry biscuits, whipped cream.
Caribbean bananas
An unusual dessert with a light caramel flavor. Rum can be replaced with coconut liqueur, and a few slices of fresh pineapple can be added to the bananas. The meal is served hot, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
- 4 large ripe bananas;
- 15 butter;
- 0.25 tsp ground cinnamon;
- 75 ml dark rum;
- 3 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- a pinch of ground nutmeg;
- 4 tbsp. l. whipped cream for garnish.
Peel the bananas, cut into thick slices and place on a greased baking sheet. In a separate container, mix together the liqueur, melted butter, sugar, ground cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour the resulting sauce over the fruit. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, bake until golden brown. Dessert will be ready in about 10 minutes. Arrange bananas in bowls or bowls, garnish each serving with whipped cream.
Banana muffins
The mouth-watering mini cupcakes are loved by kids, but adults will love them too. Ripe bananas will give baked goods a delicate aroma and a pleasant, not too cloying taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas;
- 100 ml of low-fat kefir;
- 1 tsp baking powder;
- 300 g wheat flour;
- 2 eggs;
- 100 g sugar;
- 2 tbsp. l. seedless raisins;
- a pinch of vanillin;
- icing sugar for decoration.
Grind softened butter with sugar and vanilla, add eggs and kefir. Mix everything with a mixer. Put the banana mashed with a fork and stir again. Mix flour and baking powder, add portions to the dough without stopping whipping. Finally, add the previously washed and dried raisins.
Place the dough in silicone muffin tins, greased with melted butter. Bake muffins in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. In about half an hour, the muffins will be ready. Remove from the molds, cool on a wire rack and serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
