A family feast is always crowned with a sweet pie or cake. Cake usually takes some tinkering, but apple pie is quick and easy to make. To prepare it, you need to stock up on food and follow the recipe.

It is necessary

    • For the cake:
    • 4 eggs;
    • 100 g sugar;
    • 250 g flour;
    • 2 tbsp. l butter;
    • 2-3 apples;
    • powdered sugar.
    • For caramel:
    • 1 cup of sugar;
    • 1/2 glass of water
    • 6 tbsp butter;
    • 1/2 cup cream
    • For dessert:
    • ice cream.

Instructions

Step 1

Make pie dough. Separate the yolks from the whites, mix with two tablespoons of sugar and beat until white with a mixer or blender. Then transfer them to a small bowl, gently sift the flour in an even layer on top.

Step 2

Then beat the whites with the remaining sugar to form a firm foam. The well-beaten egg whites should not drip off the surface of the spoon.

Step 3

Place them in a bowl on top of the flour, and then stir everything with gentle vertical movements until a smooth dough resembling thick sour cream is formed.

Roll out the dough and use a small plate to cut a circle out of it. Pierce it with a fork in several places so that bubbles do not appear during baking. Place on baking paper.

Step 5

Wash the apples in cold water, pat dry with a towel, peel and remove the core. Cut them into thin, round slices and place them evenly on top of the dough.

Sprinkle the cake generously with powdered sugar and bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Lightly brown it, then carefully remove from the oven, brush with butter and place back until tender.

While the cake is baking, prepare the caramel. In a preheated saucepan, mix the sugar and water and let it melt. Remember to stir constantly so that the sugar does not burn. When it floats, add room temperature butter and mix well.

Let the caramel thicken and pour in the hot cream. Cook it for a few more minutes and immediately remove from heat.

Step 9

When the cake is ready, take it out of the oven, cool, pour caramel on top and cut into even pieces. Place each piece on a small plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and a scoop of ice cream.
