Simple and beautiful cookies that everyone can handle! You can bake it in just half an hour from ready-made puff pastry. A variety of fillings for ears will allow you to surprise your family with a new taste every time.
It is necessary
- - puff pastry - 500 g;
- - sugar - 150 g.
Instructions
Step 1
After sprinkling the work surface with flour, roll out the puff pastry in a thin layer of about 20x35 cm. The thickness of the layer should be about 5 mm. Trim the edges to make an even rectangle.
Step 2
Distribute sugar evenly over the surface of the bed. You can add cinnamon to taste.
Step 3
We wrap one of the large sides with a roll to the middle of the layer. We do the same from the opposite side. You need to roll it up carefully, without crushing the dough.
Step 4
Cut the resulting double roll into cubes about 2 cm in thickness. Slightly flatten each "ear" to a thickness of about 1.5 cm.
Step 5
We spread the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment. The space between the ears should be at least half of their size, as they grow a lot when baking.
Step 6
We send the cookies to an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake until golden brown for 10-20 minutes. Cooked cookies can be sprinkled with icing sugar.
Step 7
For these cookies, besides sugar, you can use other filling options. For example, for an orange filling, grease a slice of dough with orange juice and then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. For the nut filling, you need to mix 70 g of any ground nuts with one protein and 70 g of sugar. For the vanilla filling, grease a layer with 50 g of melted butter and sprinkle with 10-15 g of vanilla sugar mixed with 70 g of granulated sugar. All other stages of making the ears remain the same.
