Honey and mustard are ideal for marinating meat. Thanks to these ingredients, pork turns out to be tender and juicy, has an amazing aroma, and the meat acquires a pleasant sweetish taste. This dish goes well with any side dish, and it is easy and simple to prepare.

- -1.5 kg pork ham (without bone)
- -150 g balyk
- -1 orange
- -2 tablespoons mustard powder
- -2 tablespoons of liquid or melted honey
- -1 cinnamon stick
- -7-8 peas of black pepper
- -salt to taste
- For the marinade:
- -4 liters of boiled water
- -120 g salt
- -120 g sugar
- -1 onion
- -2-3 cloves of garlic
Instructions
Step 1
Dissolve salt and sugar in 4 liters of water.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and garlic, break the cinnamon stick into several pieces, remove the zest from the orange and squeeze the juice.
Step 3
Add chopped onion, garlic, cinnamon, peppercorns, orange juice to a saucepan with salt and sugar.
Step 4
Wash the meat, place in a container with marinade and refrigerate for 12 hours. Rinse the marinated meat with water and tighten with a thread.
Step 5
Wrap the pork in foil and place in a baking dish. Bake the ham for an hour and a half at 180-200 degrees.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, combine honey, mustard powder and orange zest.
Step 7
After an hour and a half, remove the meat from the oven, brush with the prepared sauce. Cut the loaf into thin slices and place on top of the meat.
Step 8
Bake the pork after removing the foil for 25-30 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. To keep the meat from dry, periodically open the oven and pour the juice over the meat.
