- For filling:
- - 8 cups fresh cherries
- - ¾ glass of sugar
- - 2, 5 table. tablespoons of cornstarch
- For the test:
- - 1, 4 cups flour
- - 2 table. tablespoons of semolina
- - a pinch of salt
- - 5-6 table. spoons of softened margarine
- - 6 table. spoons of warmed up cream
- - 4th table. spoons of water
- - 5 table. tablespoons of bread crumbs
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the seeds from the cherries and, mixing the berries with sugar and starch, put on fire, bring to a boil and, stirring, simmer for 2 minutes. Refrigerate.
Step 2
While the filling is cooling, sift the flour and semolina with a slide on a kitchen board, make a small crater on the top of the slide, and put salt with yolk and 1-2 tablespoons of margarine in it, pour in the cream and water. Knead the dough from this story, then form a flattened lump out of it, brush with liquid margarine and put in a warm place for half an hour.
Step 3
Roll the finished dough into a thin layer, sprinkle two-thirds of it with bread crumbs fried in margarine, put the cherries on top, roll the dough on all sides and roll the layer into a tube, starting from the end filled with filling.
Step 4
Brush the strudel with the remaining margarine, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in 200 ° C oven for 20-25 minutes - until golden brown.
