People who decide to give up eating carbohydrates or vice versa - stick to a high-carbohydrate diet, first of all, should navigate in foods. Carbohydrates or organic matter containing sugar can be simple or complex. So what foods should be avoided so as not to replenish the body with these substances?
Instructions
Step 1
Simple carbohydrates are found in fruits, confectionery and baked goods, chocolate, various sweets and dairy products. Complex carbohydrates are found in rice, flour, corn, cereals and legumes, as well as sugar alcohols and plant fiber, which are allowed on a low-carb diet. Most often, such diets are prescribed for diabetics in order to control insulin levels, but they are also used by many women who want to lose weight.
Step 2
Carbohydrates are absent in meat and animal proteins, but sugar and condiments are often used in meat processing. You should also avoid processed and canned meat (bacon, ham, sausage, sausage), which always contains a small proportion of carbohydrates. When buying a pre-packaged product, you should carefully study its label, which indicates the presence of organic substances containing sugar.
Step 3
Naturally they do not contain carbohydrates: veal, beef, lamb, pork, tongue, kidneys, liver and brain, turkey, chicken, duck, goose and eggs. Also, carbohydrates are absent in butter, salmon, halibut, trout, lobster, shrimp, crabs, shellfish, exotic meats and game meat. Of the seasonings, there are no carbohydrates in salt, vegetable, nut and fruit oils, animal fats, some types of margarine and combined cooking oil.
Step 4
From drinks, carbohydrates are absent in water, tea, coffee, diet soda, and alcohol. However, manufacturers may add artificial sweeteners to some beverages, so again, you need to read labels carefully. Also, manufacturers often indicate on the packaging that the product does not contain carbohydrates, but this is not always true, since the law allows to designate zero carbohydrate content, even if the product contains up to 1 gram.
Step 5
Remember that consuming only non-carbohydrate foods can negatively affect your health - therefore, it is advisable to go on a low-carbohydrate diet only after professional advice from your doctor.
