This nutritious bar tastes sweet, even though it doesn't contain a pinch of sugar. The bar is the perfect snack during the day and is also suitable for raw foodists as it does not need to be baked.

It is necessary

  • - 1 cup of chopped dates
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • - 3 tablespoons dry, unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - 1 pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Take pre-cut dates, add peanut butter, coconut flakes, cocoa powder and a little salt (if you wish) to them, put everything in a food processor bowl and mix the ingredients thoroughly. The mixture will be very thick and sticky, so it will be difficult to do this with a spoon or spatula. You can use a mixer with a dough attachment.

Step 2

Then put the finished mixture on plastic wrap, wrap the mixture in it and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 3

When the mixture has cooled, remove it from the refrigerator, divide it into 6 equal parts (from the indicated number of ingredients) and shape them into bars. It will be easier to do this if you cover the top and bottom of the bar with foil and roll it out with a rolling pin to the desired shape.

This option is also possible: take the mixture out of the refrigerator, roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1-1.5 cm and cut into bars (bars). It is easier to roll through the film, although the mixture, when cold, is not so sticky.

Step 4

Wrap the finished bars individually in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until serving.

These protein bars make a great breakfast, work snack, or even dessert. Once the principle of making such nutritional bars is understood, you can experiment with the ingredients: add various nuts, dried fruits, honey, and so on.
