Toffee is a fragrant and juicy dessert with an incredible taste. The combination of almonds and canned peaches makes this an unforgettable dish.
Ingredients:
- Canned peaches (in halves) - 2 cans;
- Butter - 1 tsp;
- Powdered sugar - 50 g;
Ingredients for toffee:
- Almonds - 35 g;
- Butter - 50 g;
- Cream - 50 g;
- Flour - 1 tablespoon
Preparation:
- The first step is to turn on the oven so that it warms up to a temperature of 220 degrees.
- Then grease a heat-resistant dish with soft butter, which must first be softened a little.
- Remove the peach halves from the syrup and put them on a napkin, dry them to drain the excess syrup. When the peaches are dry, place them on the prepared greased dish with the flat side down and the round side up.
- Now prepare the toffee mixture. To do this, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Put the icing sugar in the butter and pour in the whipped cream. Sift a spoonful of flour and add to the toffee mixture. Almonds need to be finely chopped with a large knife. You can take ready-made almond flakes. All toffee ingredients must be mixed and cooked for several minutes over medium-high heat. Remove the cooked toffee from heat.
- Pour the peaches on a platter with the resulting toffee sauce. Bake the dessert in the oven for 15 minutes. During this time, the sauce should acquire a rich, bright color. Chill the toffee just before serving.
- Serve the finished dessert with whipped cream and ice cream, garnish with almond flakes on top. You can use ruby port or rose wine as a drink.
- This dish can have several variations. For example, slices of peaches can be replaced with halves of pears, apples, or rings or pieces of canned pineapple.
