Couscous is a very famous Arabic dish that consists of semolina grains covered with multiple layers of flour. You can use semi-finished couscous, which takes only 5 minutes to cook.
It is necessary
- - 300 grams of chicken fillet;
- - 200 grams of couscous;
- - 100 grams of carrots;
- - 100 grams of onions;
- - 1/2 tsp cinnamon;
- - salt and pepper;
- - vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Take an onion, peel, wash and chop finely. Take carrots, also peel, wash, grate on a fine grater. Take a chicken fillet and cut it into medium-sized cubes.
Step 2
Take a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour some vegetable oil into it. Fry the onion for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Add the grated carrots, stir, fry for another 3 minutes. Add the chicken fillet, fry the meat with vegetables for 10 to 15 minutes. Pour 500 ml of water into a saucepan with vegetables, bring to a boil.
Step 4
Add cinnamon, salt, pepper to taste, mix everything well.
Step 5
Pour couscous, which you can cook on your own or buy a semi-finished product, into the contents, mix thoroughly again. Immediately cover the pan with a lid, remove from heat, let it brew for 7 minutes. The couscous should absorb all the liquid and thus swell.
Step 6
Then loosen the couscous thoroughly with a fork.
