Stuffed peppers are a traditional dish of Moldovan, Bulgarian and Romanian cuisine. It can be prepared with a variety of fillings, and there is also a vegetarian version of this delicacy - with cheese and millet.
It is necessary
- - large bell peppers - 3 pcs.
- - millet - 1 tbsp.
- - olive oil - 3 tbsp. l.
- - green onions - 1 bunch
- - sweet corn (canned) - 1 can
- - hot chili pepper -1 pc.
- - garlic - 2 cloves
- - feta cheese - 150 gr.
- - dill greens - 1 bunch
- - salt - 1/2 tsp.
Instructions
Step 1
Boil millet. To do this, boil 500 ml of water in a saucepan, add salt, add millet and cook the cereals until soft.
Step 2
Finely chop green onions, chili peppers, garlic.
Step 3
Saute onion, pepper and garlic in olive oil for 30-60 seconds.
Step 4
Add sweet corn to vegetables, sauté for 1 minute.
Step 5
Mix feta cheese with boiled millet.
Step 6
Combine the fried vegetables with the cheese and millet mixture.
Step 7
Cut the bell pepper in half and remove the seeds.
Step 8
Boil the pepper in a little water for 5 minutes.
Step 9
Take out the pepper and cool.
Step 10
Fill the pepper halves with the prepared filling.
Step 11
Transfer the stuffed peppers to a steaming container.
Step 12
When serving, garnish the dish with dill sprigs.
