Liver in batter is a dish that is suitable even for novice housewives, since it cooks quickly enough. Preparation

The liver must be thawed first if you are using frozen food. To make the dish juicy, you need to lower the liver in boiling water for 1 minute. And after that, already wash it with running water, evenly cut into pieces 2 cm thick. At the same time, remove excess films, grease, ducts. Some housewives even beat off a little liver. Next, you need to soak the liver in milk or cream for about 2-3 hours to make it soft. You do not need to salt the meat before cooking, but you can pepper it. It is also permissible to roll it in a ready-made spice mixture, which includes dried garlic, tomatoes, aromatic herbs. Then the liver will turn out to be softer and more fragrant.

Batter preparation

Mix the egg with a pinch of pepper and salt, then add flour and beat well with a whisk until smooth. Some housewives prefer to put mustard and honey in an amount of 1 tsp in the batter, as well as sour cream or mayonnaise - 50 g. In any case, the batter should resemble pancake dough and brew a little - for 30 minutes.

2 plates should be placed side by side: with batter and with flour. The soaked liver must first be thoroughly dried, dipped in flour, and then in batter. After that, again in batter and again in flour. And then on to a hot frying pan with vegetable oil heated in it. Fry the pieces for 5-7 minutes on each side. You do not need to overcook the product, otherwise the liver will turn into rubber. Also, do not cover the pan with a lid. Serve the liver in batter hot, it can be served with pickles, as an independent product. Or with any side dish. Mashed potatoes, rice, or fresh cucumbers and tomatoes are ideal. It is recommended to decorate the finished dish with herbs: lettuce, parsley, dill. The liver in batter is very convenient to take with you to a corporate party or for lunch at work.
