Sauerkraut with apples and tangerines is very tasty and healthy. This version of pickling is unusual in that tangerines are present here. From this, the cabbage acquires a slightly different and different taste from the usual one.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare carrots and cabbage. Cut the cabbage as thin as possible. Cut the carrots into strips or pass through a Korean carrot grater. Peel the tangerines and cut them into wedges. Cut the apples into slices, pre-wash well.

Step 2

Spread the cabbage on the table, season with salt, sprinkle with sugar and mash well with your hands until the juice is released. Add the carrots to the cabbage and mash again with the carrots. Mix well. Add sweet peas and bay leaves.

Step 3

Prepare dishes for sauerkraut in advance. Place about half of the chopped cabbage and carrots on the bottom. Lay the tangerine and apple slices in the second layer.

Close the fruit with the rest of the cabbage. Cover the cabbage with a cloth or gauze. Place a plate on it with a slight oppression. If the cabbage fits into the jar, then this is not necessary.

Step 5
