It is necessary

  • - carrots - 1 pc
  • - walnuts (kernels) - 100 g
  • - honey - 2 - 3 tbsp. l.
  • - berries - 1 tbsp.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all, it is necessary to deal with the possibly arisen question: "Is it possible to use honey during fasting?" Turning this problem to an Orthodox priest, we get an explanation that yes, honey during fasting is a permitted product for consumption due to its high nutritional value.

Use whichever amount of honey you like to make the cake. Besides the fact that this product will add sweetness to the cake, it is also a component that binds carrots and nuts, preventing the cake from falling apart.

Step 2

Peel the carrots and grate on a fine grater, so that you get short and thin shavings.

Combine carrots with grated walnuts. You can try other nuts for this dessert, but it is the walnut that gives the rich spicy aroma.

Step 3

Now add honey and mix the foods thoroughly. Honey can be of any kind, but it is undesirable to use fresh liquid honey, it is better to choose mature thick or even slightly candied honey.

Squeeze out the mass, removing excess liquid. You do not need to pour it out, as you will need it to make the peanut pie sauce.

Step 4

Next, you will need small muffin tins to form the brownies. These can be metal or silicone molds. It is advisable to pre-cover the first with cling film to make it easier to remove the finished cakes.

Put the prepared mass tightly into the molds. Put in the refrigerator for 15 minutes so that the honey hardens a little and the finished cakes retain their shape.

Step 5

While the dessert is cooling, you can make a sweet sauce. To do this, take the remaining liquid, put the berries in it and rub everything together with a blender. Rub through a sieve to remove debris from carrots, nuts, and berries.

Carefully remove the chilled cakes from the molds, pour over the sauce.
