Potatoes with meatballs in tomato sauce cooked in a multicooker is a simple dish that does not require special cooking skills. Its versatility lies in the fact that adding more water makes a soup, and adding less water makes a second course.
Ingredients:
- 0.4 kg minced meat (mixed);
- 1 kg of potatoes;
- 1 egg;
- 2 carrots;
- 1 large onion
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 leaves of laurel;
- salt to taste;
- any herbs and garlic if desired.
Preparation:
- Take mixed minced meat, usually this is a classic combination of pork and beef in equal parts, but you can take any one kind, even chicken. If it has been frozen, then it should be completely thawed.
- Transfer to a deep bowl and beat in a chicken egg.
- If desired, add salt, season the minced meat or add one universal seasoning with salt. Stir well and set aside for now.
- Peel and cut the carrots, you can use a corrugated knife to give the pieces an aesthetic look. Chop the onion with a simple knife.
- Pour oil into the multicooker bowl, set the "frying" mode, put chopped onions and carrots, fry for a few minutes.
- Add tomato paste, pour half a liter of clean water, stir and put on the "stewing" mode.
- While the water is boiling, peel, wash and cut the potatoes.
- When the water in the multicooker "gurgles", put the potato cubes there. Do not forget to add salt and bay leaves. Stir the contents of the multicooker pan.
- Add freshly cooked meatballs (mixed minced meat), put in a slow cooker for 45 minutes of simmering. After this time, the dish will be completely ready.
- For a delicious flavor, add chopped fresh herbs and some finely chopped garlic to the stewed potatoes, but this is optional.
- By the way, the meatballs can be glued in advance and put into the dish even frozen.
