Summer is the time for many fresh vegetables and fruits. But not many people know that fresh tomatoes can be seen on the New Year's table in the cold season. It is possible to save such a product, although it is quite difficult. But all the vitamins and nutrients will remain in them, and this is the most important thing.
It is necessary
- - fresh tomatoes;
- - dry mustard powder;
- - a three-liter jar with a lid;
- - newspapers or sheets of paper.
Instructions
Step 1
Select medium-sized unripe tomatoes without dents, cracks, or other damage.
Step 2
Remove the tails, rinse the fruits under running water, pour over with boiling water.
Step 3
Wrap them in newspaper or paper, leave the fruits for 2-3 days in a dark place.
Step 4
Sterilize the three-liter jars and lid in advance to prevent possible bacteria that contribute to fruit spoilage.
Step 5
Add a few tomatoes, then sprinkle with mustard powder. So repeat until the jar is full. Do not stuff the tomatoes tightly, they should be in a free position and not put pressure on their "neighbor".
Step 6
After finishing the process, pour 3 tablespoons of mustard powder on top and close the jar with a dry sterilized lid.
Step 7
Turn the jar to the bottom and gently turn it over so that the mustard is evenly distributed over the skins of the tomatoes. Do not shake under any circumstances! Store at + 10-15 ° in a dark place, preferably a cellar.
