To quickly prepare a soup with meat or vegetable broth, prepare the stock beforehand. Boil any broth and refrigerate it for 2-4 days. Using it, you will be able to prepare fresh soup every day with little time. In addition, this will preserve the vitamin value of the soup and improve its taste characteristics.

You can also quickly cook the soup using various frozen mixtures of vegetables and legumes, which are pre-steamed in a little water and cooked over low heat until tender. For homemade chops, chop fresh vegetables, place in the freezer, and use as needed.

It takes 15-20 minutes to make the lentil soup. Take a small saucepan, about three liters. Pour lentils there, cover with cold water. Put on medium heat, let the water boil. Skim off the foam and reduce heat.

While the lentils are cooking, peel the potatoes, cut them into sticks or cubes (whichever you like), and place them in a saucepan to simmer with the lentils.

Add a small amount of finely grated pumpkin if desired. It will give the soup a peculiar flavor, so if you don't like this vegetable, skip this point.

Roast onions and carrots. To do this, cut the onion into cubes. Grate the carrots. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown and transfer to a saucepan.

If you want the soup to be meaty, add some finely chopped smoked sausage or sausages to it.
