Contrary to established traditions, salt, like thousands of years ago, remains a harmful product. It makes joints squeak, raises blood pressure. It is advisable to gradually switch to a healthy diet. That is, salt should be reduced in the diet by a pinch. After a while, a person gets used to the lack of salt, food without it no longer seems terribly tasteless.

Salt can be successfully replaced with some sour juice, lemon juice is especially good. Spices, dried herbs are also a good substitute for salt. Those who are haunted by the fact that the food is completely unsalted can add salt to the food on the table.

Vegetables and greens contain natural salts, so when cooking them, it is quite possible to do without cooking, which destroys vitamins (especially in delicate greens). Even those who are not going to give up this product are also advised to cook greens without salt, as they are more delicious. Salt is a very unfortunate substitute for sodium, which is found in potatoes, beets, and seaweed. Whole cereals and dried fruits are useful and no less tasty. They are also sources of natural salt.

With a healthy diet, you need to avoid semi-finished products, ready-made meat products - they are rich not only in salt, but also in other harmful additives. We'll have to give up pickles and marinades, various kinds of ready-made sauces and bouillon cubes. It is advisable not even to look in the direction of various salty snacks: chips, cookies. Salted nuts are also harmful, although in their natural form they are among the most useful delicacies.

It has long been proven that human kidneys excrete only 25 grams of salt per day, which is about one tablespoon. It also includes sodium and chlorine, which are naturally incorporated into foods. Only healthy kidneys can remove this amount of salt from the body.

Salt stored in the body retains water around it and complicates the work of many organs. By giving up salt, a person is freed from this excess fluid. Then it goes along the chain - the pressure decreases, the load on the heart decreases, the kidneys work improves, the skin breathes freely.

For the sake of this, it is worth switching to a healthy diet and giving up salt. This is not a huge sacrifice for good health.
