Instructions
Step 1
First, remove the fish from the refrigerator and thaw it. In order for it to thaw quickly, put it in water and leave it for a while. Then clean the fish thoroughly, remove the head, entrails and skin. Rinse well several times in cold running water. Next, put it on a plate and leave it for five to ten minutes to drain the water.
Step 2
Now get busy with bread. Place it in a small bowl and cover with water or milk. Wait for the bread to get wet and immediately remove it from the water. Squeeze lightly with your hands. Then peel one medium onion.
Step 3
After the fish is slightly dry, remove all bones from it and cut into fillets. Next, pass the meat through a large meat grinder along with soaked bread, onion and a piece of bacon.
Step 4
If you don't have lard, then use butter or butter margarine instead. This will not make your cutlets worse.
Step 5
Grate the carrots on a fine grater and add them to the minced meat. Then break the egg and add the mayonnaise. Mix everything well, salt and pepper. After that, let the minced meat come up. Leave it on for twenty to thirty minutes at room temperature.
Step 6
After the time has passed, form small cutlets from the well-mixed minced meat. Roll each cutlet well in breadcrumbs and immediately send to a preheated frying pan.
Fry them on both sides until slightly golden brown in sunflower oil.
Step 7
After that, put the finished cutlets in an enamel pan and put in the oven for ten to fifteen minutes. Bring to readiness, remove from oven and serve hot.
Step 8
The taste of the cutlets is very unusual, so many do not believe that they are made from fish. Such cutlets can be served with absolutely any side dish. Mashed potatoes, pasta, rice and even buckwheat work well. The cutlets are delicious both hot and cold. Bon Appetit!
