Chutney is an original Indian side dish, which is usually prepared from vegetables or fruits with the addition of various spices and vinegar. Chutney is uniform in consistency. Prepare shrimp with mango chutney - this appetizer will surprise all your guests!
It is necessary
- For six servings:
- - 1 kg of shrimp;
- - 50 g each mint, cilantro, ginger;
- - 5 tbsp. tablespoons of lime juice;
- - 2 chili peppers;
- - 1 clove of garlic;
- - 1/4 cup vegetable oil;
- - 1 cucumber, 1 mango;
- - 1/2 red onion;
- - curry powder, turmeric, cumin, salt, nutmeg to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Place butter, 2 tbsp. spoon lime juice, one chopped chili, grated ginger, red curry, turmeric, garlic, half a spoonful of salt, nutmeg in a blender. Convert it all into a homogeneous mass. Marinate the shrimp in it for half an hour.
Step 2
Place the cumin in a preheated skillet and let sit for about a minute, stirring occasionally. The cumin should begin to exude a strong aroma.
Step 3
Cut the mango into small cubes, cut the cucumber in the same way. Chop the red onion, hot peppers, cilantro and mint finely. Mix this with 3 tablespoons lime juice and stir in the toasted cumin. It turned out to be a chutney.
Step 4
Simmer the shrimp in a deep saucepan with the marinade (10 minutes), serve with the chutney.
