Step 1

First you need to prepare the poppy filling. This is best done with a coffee grinder. If there is no coffee grinder, then it can be replaced with a mortar, in which the poppy will be ground in the old-fashioned way. One tablespoon of semolina is added to crushed or ground poppy seeds, after which everything is mixed.

Step 2

Pour sugar into the milk, but not all, but half - 50 grams, add poppy seeds there. Stir constantly and cook until thickened for about eight minutes.

Step 3

Next, the cream is prepared. Mix 300 grams of sour cream with the remaining sugar and 40 grams of flour. You also need to add vanillin. The cream will be ready after thorough mixing.

Step 4

Now you need to prepare the dough. This will require ice water and cold oil. The butter is chopped with a knife with flour, ice water is added and the dough is quickly kneaded. Next, the dough is rolled out and placed in a mold. Since the dough is very greasy, you do not need to grease the mold. The dough is pierced with a fork and baked in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. The bottom of the mold should be approximately 20 centimeters.

Step 5

After 20 minutes, the dough should be browned in the oven. The poppy filling is laid out on the toasted crust, everything is poured on top with sour cream. You can also sprinkle poppy seeds on top for beauty. After that, the cake is baked at a temperature of 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes. The finished cake is best eaten when it has cooled completely.
