How to choose a pork knuckle
Despite the fact that the multicooker does an excellent job of preparing pork shank, you still need to keep in mind a couple of nuances in choosing a product.
First is the size of the product. If it is too large, it may not fit in the bowl. Choose a small shank weighing no more than 2 kg.
Secondly, no matter how powerful the multicooker is, it takes a little longer to cook the shank in it than in the oven. Therefore, choose a shank that belongs to a young animal and does not contain too bulky fatty layers.

- Garlic - 7 cloves;

- Ground coriander - 0.5 tbsp l.;
- Red hot pepper - a few pinches;
- Ground black pepper - 1 tbsp l.;
- Salt - 1 tbsp l.
How to pickle pork knuckle
To make the shank juicy, fragrant and very tasty, it must be marinated before cooking. To do this, peel the garlic, chop it into thin plates and transfer to a bowl. Add chopped rosemary, ground coriander, red and black peppers, and salt to it. Squeeze the juice from half of the lemon and remove the zest. Mix them with the rest of the ingredients and add the sunflower oil at the end. Mix the resulting mass thoroughly. Marinade is ready!
In the meantime, rinse the knuckle under running water, dry it and make several deep cuts in it. Spread the marinade on all sides, paying particular attention to the cuts. Place it in a bowl, cover with a lid or cling film and refrigerate. The minimum shank marinating time is 3 hours. The longer it takes you for this, the tastier the dish will turn out. Therefore, if possible, leave the shank in the marinade overnight.
How to cook shank in a multicooker
When the shank is marinated, place it in the multicooker bowl. At the same time, it must fit completely so that the cover of the electrical appliance closes well. Pour 1 half glass of water (about 150 ml) into the bowl, close the lid and set the "Stew" mode to 4 hours. During the cooking process, the shank will need to be turned over to another barrel 2-3 times. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the product does not overlap the multicooker valve.
When the time is up, remove the softened shank from the bowl and drain the water. Now she needs to give her a beautiful appearance. Return it to the bowl and set to Bake or Roast. Fry the shank until it is covered with an appetizing golden brown crust on all sides.
