Fig and date pie has an unusual taste. It takes little time to cook. It turns out delicious, tender, satisfying. You will surprise everyone with such a cake, and no one will immediately guess what it is made of.

- - 180 g butter
- - 0.75 cups granulated sugar
- - 2 eggs
- - 3.5 cups flour
- - 0.5 tsp baking powder
- - 2 g vanillin
- - 200 ml cream
- - 0.5 cups of dates
- - 0.5 cups figs
- - water
- - 1 tbsp. l. corn starch
Instructions
Step 1
Start with the filling. Peel the dates and cut them into pieces. Cut the figs into 6-8 pieces. Add to them 150 ml of cream, a quarter of granulated sugar.
Step 2
Bring to a boil over low heat and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, add 1 tbsp to the filling. l. starch, diluted in a small amount of water and cook until thickened. Cool the filling.
Step 3
Start preparing the dough. Beat the butter with 0.5 cups of granulated sugar and add 2 eggs, beat everything well and add 50 ml of cream.
Step 4
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and vanillin, knead the dough. The dough will be docile and soft.
Step 5
Divide the dough into 2 parts, from one part make the bottom of the pie. Spread the filling evenly and place the second part of the dough on top. Gently pinch the edges of the cake.
Step 6
Place the cake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes, until golden brown. Remove the cake from the oven and set to cool.
