Orange biscuits in honey syrup are most often made in the East. Soaked in honey syrup. It is very crumbly inside. It turns out very tasty and just melts in your mouth. You will delight your guests with such cookies.
It is necessary
- - 2 cups of flour
- - 1 tsp. baking powder
- - salt
- - 35 ml orange juice
- - 1 tsp. orange peel
- - 0.5 tsp soda
- - 100 ml of olive oil
- - 0.35 cups granulated sugar
- - 150 ml of honey
- - 100 ml of water
- - 1 tsp. lemon

Step 1
Prepare honey syrup: mix 100 ml of water, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 150 ml honey, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, bring to a boil over low heat.
Step 2
Make the heat low and let the syrup simmer for 5 minutes. The syrup should be hot.
Step 3
In a bowl, beat well the juice, zest, olive oil and granulated sugar. Gradually add the dry mixture to the orange mixture, knead the dough thoroughly, it should be soft, like plasticine.
Step 4
Line the pan with parchment paper and roll up small balls of dough. Separate a small piece of dough, knead it slightly with your fingers.
Step 5
Place the balls in a baking dish close together. Press the balls lightly with a fork to make a drawing. And put the cookies in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Step 6
When the cookies are done, cool them for 5-7 minutes. Then dip in portions in hot syrup for 30-40 seconds and place it on parchment paper. Decorate the cookies with cinnamon or nuts. Remove from parchment and serve cold.
