It is necessary

  • For the pudding:
  • - 180 g semolina;
  • - 150 g each of butter, brown sugar;
  • - 5 eggs;
  • - 1 orange;
  • - 1 liter of milk;
  • - vegetable oil, vanilla extract, sea salt.
  • For orange syrup:
  • - 1 orange;
  • - 1 glass of orange juice;
  • - 4 tbsp. spoons of brown sugar;
  • - cinnamon pod;
  • - star anise asterisk.

Instructions

Step 1

Put the oven to preheat to a temperature of 190 degrees. Rub the zest of one orange on a fine grater. In a large saucepan, combine the vanilla extract milk, 150 g sugar, and orange zest. Bring to a boil.

Step 2

Cut the zest of the second orange into thin strips. Prepare the syrup: In a small saucepan with a heavy bottom, combine orange juice and zest, cinnamon, star anise, 4 tablespoons of brown sugar. Simmer over low heat until syrup forms.

Step 3

Mix semolina with salt, pour into a saucepan with heated milk. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, turn off the stove when the mixture thickens. Add butter to the semolina, stir, cool the mass slightly. Insert eggs into it one at a time, kneading the dough thoroughly after each.

Step 4

Grease a cake pan with vegetable oil, pour the prepared semolina dough into it, bake for about 1 hour at the indicated temperature in the oven.

Step 5

Cool the finished semolina pudding, turn it over from the mold onto a platter. Sprinkle generously with orange syrup on top, serve for breakfast or as a healthy lunch.
