Cabbage rolls can be prepared in a variety of ways to suit all tastes: marinate with carrots, fry with chicken fillets, or make a summer vegetarian dish with fresh vegetable salad.

- For pickled rolls:
- 1 small head of cabbage;
- 0.5 kg of carrots;
- 4 cloves of garlic;
- parsley and dill.
- For the marinade:
- 1 liter of water;
- 2 tbsp salt;
- 2 tbsp Sahara;
- 1 tbsp vinegar essence.
- For Vegetarian Cabbage Rolls:
- 3-5 cabbage leaves;
- 3-5 broccoli inflorescences;
- 1 tomato;
- 3-5 red onion rings.
- For refueling:
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- a piece of ginger root;
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- 1/2 lemon;
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp agave nectar.
- For cabbage rolls with chicken:
- 800 g chicken fillet;
- 1 small head of cabbage;
- 200 g of cheese;
- dill and parsley;
- 2 eggs;
- breadcrumbs;
- sunflower oil (for frying).
Instructions
Step 1
Pour boiling water over the cabbage and leave for 15 minutes. Carefully remove the leaves from the head so that they remain intact.
Step 2
Cut the carrots into strips. Just do it using a grater with a special attachment. Chop the garlic, chop the herbs finely. Add them to the bowl with carrots and mix everything.
Step 3
Place the carrot filling on the cabbage leaves (one tablespoon each) and roll them up. Place the rolls in a dish (preferably enamel) with a wide base.
Step 4
Prepare the marinade. Dissolve salt and sugar in warm water, cool and add vinegar essence. Pour the marinade into a pot of rolls, cover them with a flat plate and place a load, such as a glass jar of water. Place the cabbage rolls in a cool place for three days.
Step 5
To make vegetarian cabbage rolls, sort the cabbage into leaves and broccoli into florets. Chop tomatoes and onions, toss them with broccoli inflorescences. Place the cabbage leaves in hot water for five minutes.
Step 6
Prepare a dressing. Chop the garlic, add it to the olive oil, squeeze the juice of half a lemon there, pour water into the mixture and mix everything. Season with salt to taste and add pepper, ginger root and agave nectar.
Step 7
Pour the prepared dressing over the tomato, onion and broccoli salad, spread it over the cabbage leaves and wrap. Secure the cabbage rolls with toothpicks and serve.
Step 8
Make cabbage rolls with chicken. Prepare kale leaves in the same way as for pickled rolls. Fillet the chicken breasts and beat off the pieces.
Step 9
Beat eggs. Grate the cheese, finely chop the herbs and mix them. Place cheese and herbs on each slice of chicken fillet and roll up to make a roll. Wrap each one in a prepared kale leaf.
Step 10
Put the pan on the fire, heat it and brush it with sunflower oil. Dip each cabbage roll in a beaten egg, coat in breadcrumbs and place in a skillet. Fry them on both sides until tender and place on a serving dish. Cabbage rolls prepared according to this recipe can be served hot or cold.
