In the everyday menu, mussels are not often found, but this seafood is perfect for a festive table. If you are planning a feast, be sure to include mussels with onion sauce in the menu - the appetizer is prepared simply, but it turns out incredibly tasty.
It is necessary
- - 2 kg of fresh mussels in shells;
- - 100 ml of dry white wine;
- - 60 g of butter, onion;
- - 40 g each parsley, shallots;
- - salt.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse fresh mussels thoroughly in sinks. If you come across mussels with open flaps, then put them aside - they will not work for our snack.
Step 2
Melt half the butter in a skillet. Peel the onions and chop finely, send them to the frying pan. Cut the shallots too, mix with the onions. Rinse the parsley, chop, add to the onion, mix.
Step 3
Put mussels on a frying pan, pour in dry white wine, salt to taste. Cover with a lid and simmer the mussels over medium heat until the shutters open. Arrange the broth mussels and place on a serving platter. Do not serve mussels with unopened flaps.
Step 4
Thoroughly strain the broth through a sieve, getting rid of the onion pieces in this way, heat it with the remaining butter. Pour over the prepared mussels.
Step 5
Mussels with onion sauce can be served. Serve grilled or toaster slices of white bread separately with your snack.
